Day 5 was Labor Day
Most of the camping guests spent the morning packing up camp.
After the hot humid night, Shawn & I started the day with a cool off get clean shower to cool down, refresh and awaken us before heading to the beach. It seemed odd to clean up right before getting sandy and salty again but boy it felt good and did the trick.
Not long after getting to the beach, Megan was swiming in the bay watching the pelicans when 2 pods if dolphin swan right by her about an arms length away!!! SO COOL!! Absolutely wonderful!!
But Shawn and I missed seeing it. :-(
Shawn was at the grocery and I had gone back to the campsite for something.
I love this place and it beauty. The twisted knotty live oaks are so pretty.
We also saw a Persimmon Tree in fruit. Shawn and I tried a bite it was okay for about two seconds then immediately turned our mouths to a white dry dessert! LOL!! Oops these fruit need to be cooked with sugar or honey to be enjoyed! Still it was fun!

By late morning the campground was almost empty and very quiet. Some how that made me see the beauty around us more.
It was another very relaxing day. It was hot but the wind and water were great. All of us took naps on the beach.
Shawn and I walked to the camp store and welcome center.First Landing (Seashore) State Park is a National Landmark.Big Beautiful Live Oak at the main board walk.
"There is but one entrance...into this country...at the mouth of a very goodly bay...Heaven and earth never agreed better to frame a place for man's habitation"~Captain John Smith
We are here ^
I bought an ice cream sandwich at the store. So much yummier than the Persimmon LOL!
This was the day we were expecting rain and some thunderstorms. We did see some beautiful clouds blow threw and the wind picked up a little and the temps dropped a little making the afternoon quite comfortable and enjoyable. No rain though!! No rain Yay!

Last full night of the vacation. Full of smiles and fun as we stayed late on the beach and watched a beautiful sunset.
We lingered on the the beach a long while just watching the sky change into beautiful colors.
Dinner was started late but we had our traditional marinated chicken breasts with campfire sliced potatoes and onions. YUM!!
We stayed up late and played a few rounds is cards (golf) but I was too sleepy to finish the game. We went to bed a little before midnight.
