Christmas Gratitude washed over me

He came into the very world he created, but the world didn’t recognize him. He came to his own people, and even they rejected him. But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God. They are reborn—not with a physical birth resulting from human passion or plan, but a birth that comes from God. So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. John 1:10-14 NLT
Teaching a simple Christmas Pre-K lesson yesterday and listening to a Christmas song by Bebo Norman after service, fully gulley washed my heart with Christmas gratitude for

God's faithfulness (that is way beyond our finite "vision"),

His perfect timing (seen from His Holy perspective), and

His BIG BIG love that left boundlessness and all of glory to be confined within earth and flesh; to live a perfect life and die a perfect sacrificial death, so we could be brought into eternal family relationship with Him.  Raised to life in earthly form, to not just give us a way to eternal life and relationship with Him, but to show us through many eye witnesses and testimonies, so that we know His love and it's power.

My words fail to explain my gratitude. The lyrics to this song help articulate some of it.
Majesty had come down, glory had succumbed now
To flesh and bone
In the arms of a manger, in the hands of strangers
That could not know, just who they hold
 . . .
And all fell silent for the cry of an infant
The voice of God
Was dividing history for those with eyes to see
The Son would shine from earth that night
 . . .
And the angels filled the sky
All of heaven wondered why
Why their King would choose to be
Be a baby born to die
. . .
To break the chains of guilt and sin
To find us here, to pull us in
So we can join in heaven's song
and with one voice around the throne
.
All the angels filled the sky
And I can't help but wonder why
Why this King would choose to be
Be a baby born for me . . .

It is reasonable (with evidence) to accept this a tru, and yet requires faith to trust, believe and follow Jesus Christ.

My heart is full of gratitude, my mind refreshed and renewed by amazing grace and goodness of God who did not leave us alone; who wants each of us to come to really know and be pulled into His big love and choose to believe and follow Him.
