delight

I am delighting in the blessings of this morning. Oh how I love the sunshine and the beauty of that sunshine as it streams across my backyard. What a wonderful thing to wake up to. I am such a privileged person, that I get to see this beauty at the beginning of a brand-new day.

Today I breathe in beauty. I breathe in relaxed joy. I breathe in excitement, and hope to simply meet (to the best of my ability) the challenges of today, and to (again to the best of my ability) take advantage of all its opportunities: opportunities to love, to be kind, to do good, and to make a difference because I care.  That is all I want and hope for… to delight and to love.

MY PRAYER

Lord, I commit my wants and hopes to you.  Lord,please place on my spiritual and mental eyes the glasses of delighted gratitude and love, to bring my world of my today into clear focus and purpose.  I let go of regret and condemnation so that I can fill my mind with all the delights you are bringing me and to be excited about the chance to love others.  Oh precious Heavenly Father (Big Daddy God) please keep your arm around me all day, keep me reeled in close to you, keep me from evil and temptation especially in areas of my thinking, as I choose to keep my spiritual and mental “feet” right next to yours all day.  Father God, please keep your big hands next to the “mouth” inside my head & heart, so that your hand would only permit me to think or speak words that are lovely and praise worthy.

Lord, there are many real and desperate needs in my large circle of influence. Please Lord, by the authority of the risen Christ Jesus, enter into each of these circumstances and bring your perfect freedom, provision, comfort, healing, and hope.  We will be sure to give you credit, honor, and praise for all that I am confident You are doing.

Thank you God for a new day , not just with all the delightful sunshine, but also with the renewed delight and joy in my heart to embrace today.  You are good!
