STARFLOWER Dishcloth free pattern from Knit Picks - first completion

Update Finished my first STARFLOWER Dishcloth free pattern from Knit Picks

This is such a fun little project!

Even though I have been knitting for years I am still not an experienced knitter.

Thanks to the tutorial I learned the circular cast on, got to practice with double pointed needles following a chart. I also got to practice short rows to make the perpendicularly knitted border. I've done short rows before but not as a perpendicular border.

I used leftover cotton yarn I had on hand.

It is turning out really cute.

Grafting live stitches into cast on bound off stitches isn't easy for me and my join change of color has too big of a knot. I didn't have size 8 double pointed needles. I used size 6 so it's a on the small side.

But overall I am a pleased and wanting to make another one! 😃
