church - naps - treat

Sunday  May 5th

I have this upper respiratory cold/infection that seems to be nothing more than a cold with cough but it is making me extremely tired.  This is the third respiratory infection in a row.
Ugh!  I am treating it with good body care and prayer.

I have a dear close friend who is fighting cancer to get her life back, and while knowing this doesn't make my physical condition change, it does put it in perspective.

Still I had to fight through distraction caused by exhaustion and my slow heavy body from my cold to get to get through the morning chores and get to church.  I was late and missed early prayer time :-(

The cuteness of the duckies while giving clean water and food was one of  my distractions and I snapped a few pictures with my phone.

CHURCH
I had a powerful time of prayer and intercession for my church and church leadership on the way to church. Followed by a wonderful service full of powerful genuine worship and a timely and transformal teach-preach sermon by our Church of God state bishop.  It was really really good!!  I am so thankful for the unity of our local body and for consistency of the scriptures and the perfect timing of the God's message through His Word and Bishop Corder.

Got a call and text from Sarah letting me know that Justin needed me to help him with some banking stuff while he was traveling in China (more on that later).  I made the needed phone calls and I prayed for Justin that obstacles would be overcome and that he would have a good time.  I am looking forward to hearing about his 2nd adventure to China.

NAPS
After church I went home with intentions to do some house cleaning and help Shawn in the garden. I did get the dishes washed and then caught up on the show "Call The MidWife".  But mostly I napped.
Pepper is not happy that I took a selfie of her and I when I woke up between naps. LOL!

TREAT
Shawn cooked the frozen enchiladas for dinner and after dinner and watching the newest "Call the Midwife" episode together, he took me out for a milk shake treat at Sonic.  Half price milk shakes after 8pm!!  I got a strawberry one this time.  Shawn got a peanut butter and fudge milk shake.  It was good but I think my strawberry was better! ;-). We did NOT get the Jalapeño Chocolate shake.
Maybe another time; maybe when we hope to return and buy 10 mini shakes and try a bunch of flavors.

Home and to bed.

The End
:-)
