For the most part the garden (my husband Shawn's and mother in law Linda's) stopped producing about a month ago, except for peppers. A few days ago Linda harvested several bags full of huge green peppers. At that time also picked a small bag full of hot peppers (Cayenne I think), saying the plants were covered in them. Today she and Shawn picked bags full of hot peppers, way too many to eat this week, so the plan is to dry them.
Shawn asked me for needle and thread and strung the peppers to hang to dry. He hung them over the entry to my front yellow room while he finished stringing them all. His plan was to move them to the basement which will be drier over the winter, but I think they are pretty and asked if we could keep some of them upstairs.
Watching him string the beautiful peppers and hang them up, brought me joy.
Yep, simple joys in everyday living!
