Spring Camping Trip- Natural Tunnel

We have had so much fun.

A long long drive here

Followed by grilled chicken with S'mores for dessert. My marshmallow stick was the best! But I fell asleep during the camp fire conversation.

The next day, started with COFFEE yum! and instant oatmeal.
We started exploring at the block house and the views of the rolling hills and mountains were beautiful. We read about the history ... "big party" heeheehee

Then the gazebo with more beautiful views. After a brief stop to the cove center we began our hiking. Wow! We said it a lot. Natural Tunnel is really wow! We read from the guide book, and enjoyed the views of the tunnel, gaps, flora, the peaks (like lovers leap). On the other side of the tunnel we even got to see a train going there, as well as many beautiful sights at Stock Creek.

Later a camping feast was prepared and conversation and stories were read. After the feast of hot dogs, hamburgers, sausage, potatoes with onions and tomatoes, the rain began. Shawn threw all the wood on the fire and tarps were laid and staked over the smaller tents. Then we roasted marshmallows and ate s'mores. By then it was about 11pm we cleaned up and tucked ourselves into tents dry and warm.

It has been a very good vacation.
