ABOUT ME.

I am friendly and silly, yet serious, looking for and finding meaning in everything. I have a passion for anatomy, physiology & healing, a huge heart for children, a care taking & nurturing character, a love for people, a need for connection to others, a devotion to excellence, a love of learning, a head that is well suited for administrative duties, a driven need to do things RIGHT (correctly & with righteousness). I desire to contribute positively to the family, communities, & teams to which I belong. I like a full, busy life of serving & working with others. I have strong tendencies to be all or nothing. I am intense in nearly everything. I love intensely. I work intensely focusing on an excellent & a pleasing outcome. But I can just as easily be intensely distracted. I chill out almost as intensely, when I stop, I stop. I need peaceful moments regularly spaced throughout my life. The outdoors minister peace & joy to me. Often child-like, I take great pleasure in the little moments & little beauties, and my faith is strengthened by the bigness of God. I strive to be a good helpmate & friend to my husband, and a strong compassionate mother & friend to my children.

My determined purpose is that I may know Him (the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord), that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person more strongly and more clearly, and that I may in that same way come to know the power outflowing from His resurrection, and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death, as to be continually transformed in spirit into His likeness, in the hope that some how to attain to the spiritual and moral resurrection that lifts me out from among the dead even while in the body. Not that I have already obtained all this, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. -Phil 3:8-14 paraphrased
