Devotions those 15-60 min.s in the morning and evening that we Christians sit down to do our duty and read our bible and pray. right???? oops wrong, well at least it should be.
Devotions are those moments in which we STOP for a few minutes to give God our Devotion, to show God our devotion to Him; to acknowledge who He is and who we are and surrender to His Authority & Will for our lives, confess and renounce the sins that so easily entangle and be washed clean by the mercy of the blood of the Lamb; receive Grace (amazing undeserved favor, grace, love). It is those moments that we quiet the roar of the rush of life to listen to the only One who can truly know and help; to be nourished by the watering of His Word, to speak to / converse with as Sweet Heavenly Father and Friend, our God Most High - Almighty - who loves us beyond measure. In those 15-60 min.s it is when we turn our hearts, minds, and spirit toward our God that we show/exhibit our devotion to Him and our God who is Loving and Faithful shines the light of His smile, His Love, His Grace, and His favor on us (His devotion to us becomes clearer in the light of His Word and our acknowledging His presence and rightful position in our lives).
DEVOTIONS short little moments in the morning and evening that make ALL the difference.
Questions: Where is our devotion today? Will we do more that just think about it and/or talk about it, to follow through to give devotion to God devotions today?
